A stunning stack of sunning turtles

The SONSI AGM on Saturday was followed by a walk in Huron Nature Reserve.

Walk leader Emily Damstra had spotted some unusual trilliums earlier in the week and we made a detour to see them – red trilliums whose flowers were not pigmented and thus appeared pale yellow. Has anyone else seen this phenomenon?

“White” red trilliums.

Another high point of the walk was seeing all the turtles in the pond.
